Suzuki DR 650
2006 model, owned by Will from new. It's fitted with a 32 litre Safari tank, bashplate, stainless exhaust, uprated suspension, rally fairing (not shown here), re-upholstered seat, Barkbusters, pro taper bars with risers, lowered pegs, a 12 volt outlet and a Dynojet kit. At the start of the trip it had about 40,000km's on the clock. It now has over 60,000. I've never had any major problems with it and it's a bloody good bike.

Yamaha XT250
2008 model, owner by Kate from new. It's a pretty good bike for someone under 5 ft 8" but a bit underpowered compared to the Suzuki. For the trip we fitted Barkbusters, bar risers, an Air Hawk seat cushion, a little perspex screen, custom racks (not shown here), a homemade bashplate and a 12 volt outlet. Despite only being a 250cc the bike performed brilliantly for the 21,000km trip. Don't let anyone tell you that a little bike can't do a big adventure!.
